Tacuba Ahuachapan was born from a simple belief: that the food of El Salvador deserves to be celebrated, and that every bite should carry the warmth of a home kitchen.
Our recipes come from the Ahuachapán region — the heart of Salvadoran cooking. We grind our own masa, prepare our curtido fresh each morning, and slow-simmer our stews the way they've been made for generations. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is compromised.
Today, we're proud to bring those flavors to Hyattsville. Whether you're here for a quick lunch or a relaxed family dinner, we want you to leave feeling like part of the table.

With love, to your neighborhood.
Our specials change with the day and the ingredients. Here's what our community keeps coming back for.
Four pupusas of your choice, curtido, salsa, and a fresh horchata. The perfect introduction to Salvadoran flavor.
A hearty plate with your choice of main — sancocho, tamales, or a pupusa combo — plus a drink. Served until 4 PM.
Feed the whole crew. Six pupusas, a large sancocho pot, tamales, horchata, and curtido — everything on one big table.
We're right here in Hyattsville, just off Route 450. Pull up a chair, and let us take care of the rest.
